"In The Making": artwork for Imam Thug (2-End) + "Thug Planet" f/ Capone-N-Noreaga & Musaliny (Video Clip)

Here's the artwork I did for Imam Thug: "Streets Of Iraq". He told me he'll show it to N.O.R.E. and use it "for sumthin' hard". Can't wait to see that! It's always good to have these Queensbridge / Militainment Regime connections.

Mad props to my man Gilmatic, he's the one who took the QB picture. Please visit his website, he's such an amazing photographer.

And take a look at the "Thug Planet" video clip, one of the best Capone-N-Noreaga joint ever (featuring Imam Thug and Musaliny):

Nate Dogg RIP + "Regulate" f/ Warren G (Video Clip)

Wow... The world's so fucked up right now: Lybia, Japan, Africa... Violence and death are everywhere. Besides that, Westcoast crooner Nate Dogg died March 15, 2011. I really liked his smooth voice and pimp-daddy style. I heard his voice for the first time on Warren G's classic joint "Regulate". It was in 1994. From then, Nate did collaborate with all the greatest artists in the rap game (from 2pac to Eminem) and was part of super rap group 213 alongside Snoop Dogg and Warren G.

Well Nate Dogg, be sure G-Funk and music will miss you. I loved your hooks...

Memories... I was 9-10 years old...

"In The Making": artwork for Shade Sheist (4) + "Money Owners" f/ Timbaland (Video Clip)

Sketch of Shade Sheist, still got a few corrections/adds to do but no big deal. Sheist was really happy when he saw the sketch, it's encouraging: "I am in awe when I see this sketch! Your ability to draw me in a position I never was in is nothing short of remarkable!"

Thanks man, the final result's gonna be ill!

And here's another video clip of Shade Sheist: "Money Owners" featuring super producer Timbaland!

"In The Making": artwork for Imam Thug (1) + "Blam" f/ N.O.R.E. (Video Clip)

I'm drawing for Shade Sheist and Queensbridge rapper Imam Thug (Militainment Regime) at the same time. Here's the sketch of Imam Thug in person. He will maybe use the final art for his mixtape "The Mixcake", I don't know anything yet. I'm just drawing... that's all ^^ !

Imam Thug's also a close relative of N.O.R.E. of the legendary rap duo Capone-N-Noreaga. Watch it and hear it here:

"In The Making": artwork for Shade Sheist (3) + "S.U.C.P.I.Y.C." f/ N.U.N.E. (Video Clip)

"Wow! This is nothing short of AMAZING! Damn, I am very happy with this reveal... [...] Looking forward to launching this great work really soon!"

Words of Shade Sheist himself about this new art! It's so good to read that since it took me a lot of time and efforts to draw that background!... It was a nice experience as well because it pushed me to improve myself (I already told you I wasn't really used to draw settings and all that).

I already did the first step for that "Queen" artwork. I just have to draw and put Shade Sheist on the pic. Stay tuned!

A bonus for your eyes and ears: the funny video clip of "S.U.C.P.I.Y.C." featuring Shade Sheist & N.U.N.E. !

Love Of My Life : Neon Genesis Evangelion + Utada Hikaru "Beautiful World" (Song)

Yoshiyuki Sadamoto's style is pure illness!...

Thinking of it, I'm such a strange animefan sometimes. I been into manga and japanimation during all my childhood, then I been into rollerblading, which means I almost forgot manga culture. And finally I came back to this part of Asian subculture. But do you know how?

Nice fanart of Rei...

It's all thanks to Neon Genesis Evangelion. I discovered that anime of Gainax studio in 1998, and I immediately became a fan. In the first episode, you can already see the attention of detail of its creator Hideaki Anno, the thoroughness of his work and of course the overall quality of the animation. You have like everything in Evangelion: from the sexy characters (I'm such a fan of Rei Ayanami and Misato Katsuragi, 2 of my favorite anime/manga characters ever!...) to the music and the different atmospheres. Because Evangelion isn't all about giant robots fighting against strange creatures called Angels. There are also reflection, deep personalities, an incredible scenario, a rich background full of specifics, an amazing character design done by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (my favorite drawer)... All these elements assembled together create a unique universe where fiction (an alien threat mysteriously attacks Tokyo-3) meets reality (the characters live in Japan and have their personal problems). After all these years, Neon Genesis Evangelion is still my favorite anime.

We're in 2011 right now, more than 13 years after my first encounter with EVA and Angels. And I'm really happy to watch the new movies of Evangelion ("You Are (Not) Alone""You Can (Not) Advance"...), they're like a remix of the original story with a lot of surprises. If you're a fan, you can't miss them. And if you don't know anything about Evangelion, it's a good way to discover it.

And it's always a pleasure to see Misato, Rei and Asuka again after all this time. Here's the main theme of the new Evangelion movies: "Beautiful World" by the legendary Utada Hikaru ^^:

Peace to the Nerv : God's In His Heaven, All's Right In The World.

My rating: 6/6
