If you were going to get a tattoo, what tattoo would you get?

A tattoo that say sumthing real and deep bout my life. I'll never get a tattoo just to get a tattoo. Most of the times, people have stupid and ugly stuffs on their very own skin. It makes me wanna say "what the fuck?..." cuz the gon keep them for the rest of their life.

Years ago, I read in XXL magazine a very interesting article about rappers tattoos. Journalists were asking questions to Ca$his, and former Shady Records artist said his body was like a graveyard: all his dead relatives' names were tattooed on him and you could really feel his pain and what he experienced thru the years just by watching his tattoos ( http://www.tattoo22.com/cashis1.jpg). He only has two "positive" pieces dedicated to his kids. Otherwise, it's all about death and struggle.

There's a relationship between Ca$his' life and what's written on his whole body. That's some real and deep shit. These are the kinda tattoos I like, representing the Truth. If I go through a very special event (positive or negative) that changes my life, maybe I'll think about a way to put that on my body.

But fuck these gayish-hipster-fashion tattoo people get nowadays. I ain't fucking with that.

Digital arts or traditional ones...?...explain...

As a spectator, I love everything. But right now, as a drawer, I'd say digital arts because they offer you like endless possibilities and so much fun. Digital arts also give me the chance to create the kinda pictures with the effects I really like. And well, my desk and my room aren't as messy as they used to be: all the mess is in my computers now! ;D

I used to be a traditional artist for years, and I think it's really important to try traditional arts before starting to draw and paint directly with a computer. Kids nowadays wanna get their hands on Photoshop and a graphics tablet asap, but I don't think it's a good thing. Traditional arts are the best way to really learn, they the real thing.

Even right now, I still draw my sketches and roughs with a pencil. Most of the time I also ink them with some of my old pens. I don't think I'll ever be able to do an artwork from A to Z with my computer. I love that traditional touch, it's where I come from, the old school. That's how I started and I'ma stick to it finally. Using my traditional knowledge with my digital knowledge is finally what I do and love. :)

What celebrity would play you in the movie version of your life?

South Korean actor Jang Dong Gun, I really liked his acting in movies such as "Friend". I think he has the same look as me and maybe the same casual and cool style ;)

Illustration for SOOPAFLY: making of !

Hi there people! Here's a little taste of what I did and drew for Soopafly's new album cover: "Best Kept Secret". I told you the album was supposed to be called "Priest" at first right? Well, it was kinda... messy, but thanks to Soopafly and to Pascal Kerouche (design). Wait for August 30 and you will see the album in stores ;)

if you got some commission.....and end up delaying them because of your real life...and then some of them asking about the commish....how would you feel..?

It already happened: french producer and talkboxer Dogg Master wanted me to draw the cover of his album "Back In Town". Due to personal issues, I just sent him an e-mail to say I was sorry cuz I'd probably be terribly late. But I felt like shit because I always wanna be as honest as possible. Plus you have a lot of pressure on your mind. I was happy he understood that I had other priorities at that time.

Drawing is different from a classic 9 to 5: you need much more inspiration, concentration, patience and time than if you were working in a bank. And more important: you create something from A to Z. I hope people can take that into consideration.

Ask me anything if you wanna get to know me ;)

"Priest" (artwork for Soopafly (DPGC))

This art "Priest" was supposed to be Soopafly's new album cover. But since it's kinda difficult to work with him (I won't talk about the whole episodes here...), I've decided to drop the art on the Internet, no matter what.

"Yokel Boogie" : Crazy and funny short movie !!!

I talk from time to time about Biass, the webmaster of my website www.tuan-hollaback.com. Dude ain't just good in front of a computer screen, he's a volcanologist, dope with a guitar in his hands, and incredibly sexy with a... big moustache!

Biass plays the role of the sheriff in "Yokel Boogie", a short musical movie with a western atmosphere totally out of this world. Discover his work alongside Mathieu E. and Jérémy F. ;)
