Bay Area has such a prolific and interesting musical scene. I wrote a post about rap duo Main Attrakionz (download their album for free), now it's time to talk about a duo of producers called Friendzone. I don't know much about them except they're really into Asian culture and especially Japanese and produce marvelous cloudy Hip-Hop instrumentals and Electro joints. They often sample some Asian and J-Pop songs to turn them into musical jewels. One good example: "Perfect Skies" produced for Main Attrakionz uses an excerpt of Perfume's "Perfect Star".

Friendzone dropped a lot of mixtapes, you can download them for free on their website. But today I invite you to download their latest release: "Kuchibiru Network 2". And as always, it's a masterpiece!

Deejay Jul x DJ Cainfry "Da True Recipes" (Free Mixtape)

G-Funk and Bay styles are still alive! Well, they never died or disappeared in fact, but the Westcoast musical scene isn't that much successful lately... What a shame. Everybody's focused on... David Guetta Electro style... But Deejay Jul and DJ Cainfry are here to correct the tendency and decided to join their efforts to offer us a West-dedicated mixtape: "Da True Recipes" hosted by Homie Da Jedi.
